从跨文化交际的角度分析飞利浦公司一次中国员工和美国经理跨文化商务沟通的失败原因及可行策略
随着经济全球化的快速发展,国际商业贸易的繁荣,越来越多的公司在国际范围内建立起来。商务沟通在不同场合下频繁使用。不同的交流方式经常反映了一定的价值观,同时价值观又和他们国家的文化紧密相连。因此,掌握一门语言对我们来说是不够的,通过霍夫斯泰德的集体主义,权力距离理论分析它们的价值观来进一步了解他们的文化能够帮助我们更容易地与外国人交流。
本文选取了飞利浦公司内部一次中方员工与美方经理的沟通作为案例,通过案例分析和比较,发现了沟通失败的原因,并提出了切实可行的办法来解决这个问题。本次研究将有助于提高跨文化沟通的技巧,建立和谐的沟通环境,达到理想的商务沟通,企业管理的效果。

An Intercultural Analysis of the Failure and Feasible Solutions of a Business Communication Between a Chinese Employee and an American Manager of Philips Company
Abstract
With the rapid development of economic globalization and the prosperity of international trade, there are more and more companies setting up around the world. Business communication is frequently used in different situations. Different communication ways usually reflect its values, meanwhile, values are closed related to its cultures of their countries. Therefore, it is not enough to master a kind of language, having knowledge of its cultures by analyzing Hofstede’s individualism, collectivism and power distance can help us communicate with foreigners easily.
This paper selects a business communication in Philips Company between a Chinese employee and an American manager as the research material. Through the case studies and comparative analysis, reasons for failure are found out and feasible ways to solve this problem are put forward. This research will contribute to improving the technique of intercultural communication, setting up harmonious communication situation and reaching the ideal effect in the business communication.
