《了不起的盖茨比》中的金钱观

The Great Gatsby was published in 1925. This novel laid a good foundation for him in the history of modern American literature. The Great Gatsby was one of the greatest literary documents of the “Jazz Age”. He was one of the representative writers of the “lost generation” and also was the spokesman of the “Jazz Age”. Fitzgerald is one of the great authors in the history of American literature. Fitzgerald not only wrote novels, but also short stories. His novels vividly described the America Dream in the 1920s, and showed the spirit of the “wasteland era” of the upper class during the great depression in America. Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby is listed among the most notable twentieth-century American novels. This novel is the best work of Fitzgerald in terms of ideology and artistry. It is also the reflection of Fitzgerald life. This novel reflects the social reality and reveals the disillusion of the American Dream.
Many critics have written the research of The Great Gatsby, such as  Murakami Haruki’s The Book Review of The Great Gatsby and Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast. But they only wrote the reasons of Gatsby’s tragedy, they never had a concrete analysis of the characters. So, my paper will focus on this point, make a deep interpretation about the different views on money.
With the rapid economic development and highly prosperous society, we are on the primary stage of the socialist market economy. In this crazy modern time, many people are worried and lost themselves. So we must have a correct view on money.
This paper has three parts. The first part is a briefly introduces the life of Fitzgerald, the writing background information and the American Dream in the 1920s. And introduces the researching direction of this paper. Chapter Two analyzes the main characters’ different  views on money, talks about the relationship of love and money in Gatsby, Daisy, Tom and Nick’s minds. The last part  analyzes the external and internal causes. So through understanding of The Great Gatsby in my paper, Gatsby’s tragedy also give us a great enlightenment.

摘  要
1925年，他最著名的小说《了不起的盖茨比》出版，这部中篇小说奠定了他在现代美国文学史上的地位。菲茨杰拉德不仅是“迷惘的一代”的代表作家之一，他也是“爵士时代”的代言人。菲兹杰拉德不仅写长篇小说，他也创作了很多短篇小说。他的小说生动形象地描写出了在当时19世纪20年代的虚幻的“美国梦”，并展示了大萧条时期美国上层社会“荒原时代”的精神状态。菲茨杰拉德的代表作《了不起的盖茨比》被认为是二十世纪美国文学中最优秀的作品之一。这部作品不论在思想方面还是在艺术方面来说，都是菲茨杰拉德最优秀的作品。同时，《了不起的盖茨比》也是代表了菲茨杰拉德一生的小说，这部小说就是他本人的一生经历的写照。这部作品反映了当时的社会现实，揭示了美国梦的必然破灭。
许多评论家都写过关于《了不起的盖茨比》的研究论文，比如说村上春树的关于《了不起的盖茨比》的书评和海明威的《流动的盛宴》。但他们只分析了盖茨比的悲剧的成因，并没有深入具体分析过书中主要人物。所以，我的论文将重点放在这一点上，对书中主要人物的不同的金钱观进行一个深度剖析。
随着当今经济的快速发展和社会的高度繁荣，我们如今正处于社会主义市场经济国家的初级阶段。在这个疯狂的现代社会，许多人感到了迷惘并且失去了自我。所以我们对待金钱，必须有一个正确的看法。
本文共分三大部分。第一部分简单介绍了菲茨杰拉德的个人生平经历以及本小说的故事梗概及创作背景并引出了本文的研究方向。第二章则着重分析了本文的主要人物对金钱的不同看法，探讨了盖茨比，黛西，汤姆和尼克等人对于金钱和爱情关系的看法。最后一部分分析探讨了产生这种现象的外部原因和内在原因。最后通过本篇论文对于此小说的理解，盖茨比的悲剧也给了我们很大的启示。
