分析《消失的地平线》中康维的人物形象《消失的地平线》是20世纪英国著名作家詹姆斯·希尔顿的重要代表作。作者通过这本小说向人们展示了一个神秘且美丽的香格里拉。到目前为止，有越来越多的国内外学者加入到研究这部小说的行列。但是大多数学者主要从乌托邦形象、东方主义、后殖民主义等角度来研究这部小说。同时，包括了对香格里拉过度的追捧，亦或是妖魔化。鲜有学者分析到小说中人物形象的逃避主义。本文采用个体分析及对比分析法对小说中主人公康维的形象进行研究，解析其人物性格特征以及隐匿于人物形象当中的逃避主义。通过对主人公的形象分析，帮助人们从一种新的视角去看待香格里拉，追寻自己内心当中的香格里拉。

An Analysis of Conway’s Image in Lost Horizon
Abstract: Lost Horizon is one of the representative works of the famous British writer James Hilton in the 20th century. It shows us a mysterious, beautiful Shangri-La. Up to now, a number of scholars have engaged in the research of Lost Horizon. Most of them studied this novel from their perspectives, such as Utopian, Orientalism, Post-Colonialism, including overvaluation and demonization of Shangri-La. However, few scholars engaged in the analysis of Escapism in characters. This thesis makes an effort to analyze the image of the protagonist Conway by the methods of individual analysis and comparative analysis, and to explore escapism in Conway. By analyzing Conway’s image, the author hopes that it can help people understand Shangri-La from a new perspective.
