多元智能理论在小学英语词汇教学中的应用


作为英语教学最基本、最重要的环节,词汇教学一直倍受教师们的重视。但在目前的教学中,英语教师所用的教学方法仍然很传统,并且忽视了寻找有效记忆单词的方法。多元智能理论指出每个人都有不同的智能,如果老师能充分认识每个人不同的智能,就能为每位学生提供不同的学习通路。本文着重研究如何将多元智能理论应用到小学英语词汇教学中,帮助学生扩大词汇量,提高记忆的效率,激发学生的学习兴趣。文章结合大量文献简要介绍了多元智能理论的定义、分类和要点,接着分析了它对小学词汇教学的重要意义,最后结合案例提出了基于多元智能理论的词汇教学的方法,旨在提高词汇教学的有效性,促进学生全面发展。

Abstract

 As the most essential and important part of English teaching,   English vocabulary teaching has attracted much attention from the teachers. But at present, the most common way of teaching vocabulary in English classroom ignores the importance of finding effective ways to help students remember the new words. The Multiple Intelligences Theory (MI) suggests that individuals have combinations of intelligence. If teachers are fully aware of these differences, they can provide different pathways for different students in learning. This thesis aims to explore how to apply MI into primary English vocabulary teaching to improve the effectiveness of vocabulary teaching and arouse the students’ interest of learning English. This research first introduces the definition, classification and key points of MI based on a number of documents. Then it analyzes the significance of applying MI to primary English vocabulary teaching. Finally it presents a series of teaching methods based on MI combined with lots of teaching cases to improve the efficiency of vocabulary teaching and promote all-round development of students.
