货币市场基金起源于美国，发展至今已有三十多年了。
因其收益相对稳定、投资风险小、流动性高等优点，在基金市场中占有重要地位。本文首先从我国货币市场基金的产生与发展入手，分析我国货币市场基金生存与发展的主要原因，同时针对我国货币市场基金，分别从绩效评价、风险管理、监督方式三方面阐述了货币市场基金的运行方式。最后，分析了我国货币市场基金的政策环境和投资主体，找出了制约我国货币市场基金发展的主要因素，同时结合我国金融体制现状对其以后的发展提出了政策建议。

Abstract
Originating in the United States，Money Market Funds(MMF)has been developing for almost forty years. MMF enjoys significant status in the fund market due to its advantages such as relatively stable yields, low investment risks and high liquidity. Based on the origin and development of MMF, this paper analyzes the major reasons that MMF exists and develops in China, and then describes how MMF serves from three aspects including rating evaluation, risk management and method of supervision. Lastly, this paper tells policy environment and investor in China and gives main reasons which restrains MMF in China, meanwhile putting forward to suggestions and advices to MMFs development accordingly.
