小学生英语学习兴趣培养的策略和方法

随着英语新课程改革的不断推进,小学英语教学受到了广泛的关注。基础教育阶段小学英语课程的主要任务就是要激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣。目前的调查显示我国小学生的英语学习兴趣不容乐观,小学生在刚开始学习英语时出于好奇心和新鲜感,兴趣浓厚,热情很高。但是随着学习内容的增多和学习难度的逐渐加大,学习困难与挫折的不断出现,不少学生学习英语的兴趣锐减。
本文分析了分析了小学生语言学习的特点,并分别从学校,家庭以及学生自身三个方面讨论小学生英语学习兴趣的培养策略和方法。小学学校应该不断改善学校里的硬件设施,并且大力支持英语老师的教学,不能过多的偏重语文和数学教学;老师则应该不断的提高自身素质,提高教学能力,在教学中要以培养学生的学习兴趣和关心学生为重;从学生自身而言,首先要树立自信心,相信自己可以学好英语,并且通过用英语解决实际问题来逐步培养学习兴趣。

Abstract

    With the implementation and advancement of the New Curriculum Reform in primary English, the primary English teaching has drawn the widespread attention. The basic objective of the English curriculum at the primary phase is to inspire and cultivate English learning interest of students. But the current situation is not optimistic. The survey shows that English learning interest of the pupils is not very high. Students are full of curiosity, enthusiasm and interest to English learning at the beginning. With the increase of learning content and difficulty, students feel difficult so that their English learning interest lessen sharply.
    This paper analyzes characteristics of pupils’ language learning and discusses strategies and methods to cultivate pupils English learning interest from three perspectives of primary schools, families and pupils themselves. It is believed that primary schools should improve the hardware facilities constantly, and give English teachers as much support as possible for their teaching. Primary schools should not lay too much stress on Chinese and Mathematics. Teachers should improve the level of expertise and the ability of teaching. During teaching teachers should pay more attention to cultivate pupils’ English learning interest and care about pupils. As for pupils, they should be confident for their English learning, what’s more, they can cultivate English learning interest gradually by using English to solve their practical problems.
