中英习语地理因素对比及翻译

习语是人们在长期的社会实践中千锤百炼出来的生动，形象的语言。习语是一个民族智慧的结晶，文学艺术中的宝石，生活哲理的荟萃。在某种意义上来说，它又是一个民族在道德，经验和知识方面的小百科全书。习语大多通过具体鲜明的形象来传递意义，很多都有隐喻色彩，体现了独特的民族色彩和地方特点。有的习语意义表达直接，非常易懂。有些表达含蓄委婉，能使人产生一定的联想；有些习语有可能有多个不同的意义，在不同的语境下会理解为不同的意思。
  本文主要通过汉语和英语中富含地理文化的习语对比及翻译，进一步来探讨不同习语的有效翻译方法，努力再现原语习语的风格和形式。从而达到较好的语言文化的交流与接受。

Comparison of Chinese and English Geographically-loaded Idioms and Translation

Abstract:Idioms is a vivid form of a language , which is accumulated by all human beings throughout the long-term social practice with their wisdom and sweat.  Idioms are the crystallization of a nation's wisdom, gemstones in literature and art, and a galaxy of philosophic life. In a sense, they are also a small encyclopedia of nation's morals, experience and knowledge. Most idioms have their distinct images. Many of them have metaphorical feature, reflecting unique national or local characteristics. Some idioms are simple to understand; some are implicit in euphemisms, which enable individuals to ensure a certain association; while some idioms may have many different meanings and will be interpreted as different meanings in different contexts.    
     This paper made a comparison of Chinese and English geographically-loaded Idioms .And it further explored the effective translation methods for different idioms to reproduce the style and form of the original idioms and ultimately to make a better exchange of language and culture and better accepted.
