安娜卡列尼娜：一个自我矛盾的悲剧性人物ABSTRACT Anna Karenina is the title of the book and also the name of the heroine. So, this book talks about the story of Anna. What is her character? And why does she have a tragic ending? In this article, there are the answers to these questions. Firstly, this essay gives a brief introduction of this book. In this chapter, there will be several paragraphs about the introduction to the author, a summary of this book, and the influence of this book. Secondly, there is the introduction of Anna’s character from two aspects: external characterization and intrinsic characterization. Readers all know that Anna is beautiful, but after reading this book, careful readers will find that Anna has many conflicting thoughts. So, thirdly, this paper will elaborate the conflicting thoughts of Anna Karenina. Finally, this paper will give answer to the third question which has been put forward before---the causes of Anna’s tragic ending. And there are four reasons: Anna’s view of love, Anna’s character, death is the only way out and the author’s thoughts.
