The Influence of Cultural Awareness in Teaching English ReadingABSTRACTAt present, the English teaching in China is under a comprehensive and profoundly reform. The new curriculum has put forward many new principles for English teaching. Reading plays a very important role in English teaching. However, the traditional language-focused teaching methods only focuses on the forms of language but ignore the importance of culture awareness in reading. Language leaning is closely related to culture. With the certain amount of culture knowledge, students can improve their understanding of a passage. This passage introduces the usage of cultural awareness in teaching English reading .Supporting teachers to carry this vision into their classrooms to serve their learners. Language is the carrier of culture. Unless understanding the culture of the target language can learners use the language in an accurate and appropriate way. This thesis discusses the importance of cultural awareness in teaching English reading and offer suggestion on Cultural Teaching English reading. Aim at evoking educator’s attention on teaching. 摘要
目前，中国的英语教育正在进行深刻与全面的改革。新的课程标准对英语教学提出了很多新的的准则。在英语教学当中，阅读教学占有相当重要的地位。然而，传统的英语阅读教学方法过于注重语言的形式而忽视文化认知的教学。语言习得与文化有密切的关系。如果学生具备一定的文化认识能够提高他们的英语阅读理解能力。该论文介绍了关于文化认知月阅读的关系。建议老师把文化认识带到英语课堂当中。语言是文化的传承着。只有在了解了一定的文化知识背景后，学生才能正确的理解文章。论文当中讨论了文化意识在阅读教学当中的重要性，也为英语教学当中文化意识的渗透提出了建议。旨在唤起教师对文化意识在英语阅读教学的注意。
