农民工作为当今社会中的一个数量庞大而又特殊的群体，是我们今天推进和谐社会建设，保持社会的平安和稳定、有序的一个不可忽视的因素，其政治的参与状况直接影响着国家政治的稳定和发展。只有保护这一群体的利益，让农民工参与到国家的政治生活和民主进程中，才能维护城市的稳定，促进社会和谐。然而由于历史和其他原因，农民工政治参与中存在着种种制约因素，使得当前我国农民工的政治参与处于缺失状态。 因此，提高农民工的政治参与率，对我国构建社会主义和谐社会以及基层民主建设和国家民主化有重大的现实意义。

Title Analysis on the problems and countermeasures of peasant laborer’s political participation in our country at present
Abstract
Peasant laborers are a factor to be reckoned with in constructing harmonious society and maintaining social stability as a specific colony with enormous quantities. The circumstances of their political participation can affect the stability and development of national politics. Only when we let the peasant laborers participate in the national political life and the process of democratic development, we can make our city steady and promote social harmony. However, there exist many restraining factors which make their political participation being in the state of deficiency owing to some historical and other reasons. Therefore raising the rate of peasant laborer’s political participation is of important practical significance for building a harmonious socialist society and the promotion of democracy at the grass-roots and the national level.
