政治参与在现代化的进程中不断在各个国家、各种社会制度下得到充分展现，公民在政治参与方面的意识不断觉醒，且参政议政的素质、能力正处于不断提高之中。本文结合中国的实际，主要论述当代中国公民政治参与的现状及解决思路。由于民众意识深处的臣民意识、官本位等封建等级制度的影响，我国公民政治参与的水平普遍不高，参政意识缺失，也存在许多缺陷，严重影响公民张扬公民精神，阻碍了我国公民社会的发展。公民社会是民主政治的摇篮，在社会管理民主化、国家政治文明化的发展进程中，是不可或缺的重要力量。因此，在现代经济飞速发展的时代，必须破除等级观念，培养公民的参政意识、民主意识，拓宽参政渠道，提高公民参政能力，构建公民社会。
