英语公众政治演讲之特点及策略分析

摘  要

论文主要对英语政治演讲的结构和特点进行分析，以期发现其交际目的和此类演讲的策略选择。对英语政治演讲的特点从三个方面进行了概述：词汇、句子结构、句子类型，接着着重对其宏观结构开头、主体和结尾三部分做了详细的分析。主体是演讲的主干部分，在这一部分中要组织和安排好材料。演讲者为了达到形式和内容的统一常采用三种策略，即用严密的逻辑推理方式去说服听众，用情去打动听众和用一些修辞格去美化语言，增强气势。演讲的开头，在通篇演讲中处于领先的特殊位置，为演讲的成功开辟道路。结尾是演讲的自然收束，和开头一样重要，应努力避免陈词俗套和语言僵硬。论文对如何有效进行英语演讲和如何提高英语交际能力有一定的指导，同时对英语听说和写作教学有所启示。

An Analysis of Features and Strategies of English Public Political Speaking

ABSTRACT

This paper mainly analyzes the features and strategies of English political public speaking to find the communicative purpose and the choice of strategies of such a discourse. The paper summarizes the features of English political public speaking from three aspects, namely: vocabulary, sentence structure and sentence pattern. Later, the paper analyzes three parts of a political speech in details: an introduction, a body and a conclusion. The body constitutes the core of a speech in which materials should be arranged and organized in a good manner. Three organizational patterns are most frequently employed in speeches. They are: using rigorous, logical reasoning to persuade listeners, using emotions to appeal to listeners and using rhetorical devices to beautify languages so as to raise the powerfulness of the language. The introduction, standing at the leaping- forward edge of a speech, paves way for the success of a speech. The conclusion is a natural ending of a speech, just as important as the introduction. Efforts need to done to avoid clichés and rigidness of the language. This study is of certain value in instructing how to be a good English public speaker and how to be an effective communicator of English. At the same time, it bears significance for the teaching of English speaking, listening and writing.
