论课外阅读在大学英语学习中的重要性

摘  要

在第二语言学习研究领域中，阅读策略以及大学英语学习中课外阅读所扮演的 角色得到了众多心理学家和语言研究者的广泛关注。论文在前人研究的基础上，探讨大学英语学习中课外阅读的重要性。诸如大学英文教师在相关方面教学策略的选择和阅读策略培训中的薄弱点这些问题也会被涉及到。论文将大学英语课外阅读的必要性及其在学习中所扮演的角色的分析结合在一起，试着揭示大学英语学习中课外阅读的重要性，并探讨那些在英语教与学中用到的主要方法和策略，强调阅读水平的提高只能依靠持续的课外阅读。一般来说，一个课外阅读项目是扩大词汇和提高阅读技能的最有效方式。它不但能扩大学生的词汇量，开阔他们的视野，同时也能提高其阅读速度和激发他们对英语学习的兴趣。

On the Importance of After-class Reading in College English Study

ABSTRACT

The study of reading strategies and the role of after-class reading in college English study has drawn great attention from a number of linguistic researchers. Based on the previous studies, this paper attempts to discuss the importance of after-class reading. Meanwhile, that the choice of strategy of college English teacher and the weak points in the instruction of after-class reading would be involved. Combining analysis of the necessity and the role of after-class reading in college English study, this paper tries to reveal the great importance of after-class reading in college English study, and discuss the main methods and strategies which should be used in English learning and teaching. That reading must be developed and can only be developed by means of extensive and continual practice has been emphasized, an extensive reading programs the most effective way of improving both vocabulary and reading skills generally, and the after-class reading can enlarge the students’ vocabulary, widen their horizon ,improve their reading peed and arouse the interest of English study.
