从互文理论角度看《红楼梦》英译本的文化翻译

 互文性是当代西方后现代主义文化思潮中产生的一种文本理论。互文理论旨在解释文本之间固有的联系，强调文本含义不是独立存在的，而是来自于其互文本及整个社会文化知识体系。作为沟通两种不同语言文化的桥梁，翻译在跨文化交际中起着不可或缺的重要作用。从互文性的角度来看，翻译可以说是在语言、文本、文化和思维等多层面上展开的一项具有互文性质的语言转换活动。所以本文将关注在翻译实践中互文性的重要性。《红楼梦》被誉为中国封建社会的百科全书，拥有及其丰富的互文性资源，是分析互文性文本的最佳选择。
本文试图研究如何将互文性与文化翻译相结合，以期证明互文性理论既可以作为认识论也可以作为方法论作用于翻译研究。同时也希望能发掘红楼梦翻译研究的新视角。

An Intertextual Perspective on Cultural Translation in Hong Lou Meng 

Intertextuality is one of the important concepts in Post-Modernism and Post-Structuralism. Intertextuality aims at exposing that the meaning of a text is not self-existent, but from its inter-texts and the whole socio-cultural knowledge system. Translation, as a bridge connecting different languages and cultures, plays an essential role in intercultural communication. Considered from the viewpoint of intertextuality, translation is a type of transforming activity intertextualized with language, text, culture and thinking. So this thesis focuses on the significance of intertextuality in terms of translation practice. Hong Lou Meng, considered as the encyclopedia of feudal China, is a typical intertextual-rich text. It will be instructive to take it as an example. 
This thesis aims at incorporating the intertextual theory into cultural translation, thus testifying intertextual theory can function as both epistemology and methodology to literary translation. It is also hoped to provide a new perspective to the study of Hong Lou Meng.
